Lake Como

Considered one of the many Italian wonders,the Lago di Como, with its typical shape of a reversed Y, shows three different sides: Como, Lecco and Colico.
The side preferred by tourists is about Como, famous for the “panoramica” over the ancient Strada Regina, along elegant villas and wonderful gardens.

The Lecco side instead offers harsher scenarios and much tranquility.
So many wonders to behold: Como, for example, is also famous for the wonderful Duomo, Gothic and Renaissance styles, with rich carvings on the facade. In Varenna you will find a ruined castle dating back to the eleventh century.
Take a short trip also to Bellagio, which is right at the intersection of the two arms of the lake and comes out with elegant cafes and long walks.

On the west side, it’s worth seeing Menaggio, one of the best known and most popular place near the lake.
In Cernobbio, a few kilometers far from Como, you’ll find that it was a favorite residence of Caroline of England, during hes exile, in 1800.
